Almost There - FeedSheep.org

How many times have you uttered the phrase, "Almost there"?

Whether it's nearing the end of a long journey (telling your kids this repeatedly on road trips), getting close to completing a project, or pressing toward a personal goal, this phrase carries a sense of anticipation and relief. It's that moment when the finish line is in sight, but there's still a little more to go.

In our walk with Christ, "almost there" can reflect those moments when a breakthrough feels just around the corner—inviting us to hold fast to His promises as we near another milestone in our faith. Ultimately, no matter our age or circumstance, we're all just a breath away from standing before our Heavenly Father. Our lives on earth are brief, and it's super important not to lose sight of the fact that we're "almost there."

I recall author and founder of Focus on the Family,  Dr. James Dobson sharing on a broadcast about a discussion with his son, Ryan. Dobson told his son, "Be there!" He repeated it several times “Be there!”

He wasn't talking about some earthly event or milestone. He was referring to hearing ‘Well done’ when standing before our Heavenly Father and giving an account of life and, hopefully, an invitation to be with Him for all eternity.

His hope and prayer for his son—and all of us—was to ‘be there’ on that day, standing in the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

That's the ultimate "almost there" moment we're all pressing toward.

This brings to mind what the apostle Paul wrote:

"I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." – Philippians 3:12-14

As we press on as fully surrendered disciples, let's never lose sight of what we're running toward. The finish line isn't just the end of our earthly life and struggles but the beginning of our eternal fellowship with the One who created us!

The best is yet to come and we're ‘almost there’. Keep running your race!

'See You Thrive' Matching Grant – Almost there!

Praise God! The fulfillment of the $25,000 matching grant is almost there!

So many kind folks have given just over $21,000!

Thank you so much to those who shared their resources and the exceptional organization providing the $25,000 matching grant.

If you sense the Lord leading you to participate in helping us finish up this next month, we would be exceptionally grateful for your consideration.

We currently have enough in the ministry account to cover expenses through the end of October, so as we've done the past 25 years of ministry, we're trusting God's timing & provision as we remember the late Larry Burkett would say, "God is rarely early, but never late!

Thank you so much for partnering with us as we continue this journey to thrive together!

New Blog Post: Three Enemies of Your Heart

Imagine stepping outside your front door, only to be confronted by three deadly predators—a prowling lion, a fierce bear, and a coiled cobra. It may sound like a scene from a wildlife documentary, but these animals represent something much more dangerous—three enemies that you need to protect your heart from.

Project Update: Pressing On – 'like a snail'

Sometimes, progress feels exceptionally slow—like how the snail must have felt inching its way toward Noah's Ark. But despite its slow pace, the snail did reach the Ark!

We're making progress too. It's slower than we hoped, but we're getting there. As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day," and neither is this ministry.

Part of the delay is due to working through some issues with our previous platform provider as we transition to a new platform. It's taken longer than expected, but it's all part of laying the proper foundation.

Just like the snail pressing forward, it feels like we're "almost there" as we inch closer to launching a platform that will foster authentic engagement for true disciples—those who are committed to Hear God's Voice, Follow His lead, and Thrive as Disciples.

Though it may feel like a slow journey, we know that every step leads us closer to where God is calling us. So, like the snail approaching the Ark, we press on, trusting that we're "almost there" and the best is yet to come.
